This was reported before as bug #309, and there's a source-level patch
(define ANCIENT_PDFTEX when compiling).  I will change this now to use
an environment variable, so in Ipe 7.0.9 you can define

IPEANCIENTPDFTEX = 1

and it will work.

I thought that \pdfcolorstack was available starting from pdftex 1.30
(from 2005), but apparently this was incorrect, and Ipe now really needs
pdftex 1.40.  Again, this will be fixed using the environment variable
above.
