Just not to be misunderstood:  I wasn't complaining at all (about the 
double reporting) -- it's often not easy for a user to see whether it's 
the same bug, and marking a bug as a duplicate is very little work - 
much less than actually fixing it :-)   As Jan pointed out, the original 
  bug was marked with the incorrect version (my mistake, I hadn't 
created the new version fast enough for some testers :-)
