> Another image from the nursery, for today. We thought that these two
> looked like they were dueling it out with their whips!
> enjoy. Here in Indianapolis, Ar. fargesii has started to show, Ar.
> taiwanense is up, all the Japanese jacks are up, Ar. candidissimum
> has started to show as well... still waiting for many of the
> Himalayan jacks to start showing. So far, Ar. intermedium is just
> starting as well as Ar. galeatum and numerous others.
> On a last thought, we are quite confident that most species will do
> well in our zone 5 garden.... as far as we have been able to tell,
> it is not a hardiness factor but drainage that is the most critical.
> We are growing quite a few jacks not listed as hardy here and most
> are doing great in our sandy loam, which we amend around the jacks
> with stone and grower grit.
