Blooming at the nursery this week were many Ar. sikokianum. They perform really well in the raised beds and also in one bed we have amended with large stone. It is really hard to not go out every morning and just stare in awe at these amazing marshmallow plants (as they are called by a fellow nurseryman, Bob Solberg). In the stock houses we have pulled two interesting ones this spring and planted them out. One was what is called oak leaf form and another that had central silver almost 3/4 of the leaf... really choice and something we had not seen before. We grew about 120 this year and you can really see the differences when you look at them as a whole.
have a great weekend jack fans!
