I received my copy of Thompson & Morgan Seed Catalog 2009 on January 10.
On page 62, Arisaema hybriciliatum is now listed as ciliatium. I wonder i=f
some one brought it to their attention or they did research. It is possib=le as
Adam alluded to that they were open pollinated then, now they keep the
pollination "pure" by hand/individual plant so they know the seed produce=d is
"pure ciliatum". Just a thought...

My best guess is that it's an open-pollinated ciliatum which is hinted a=t in
the name. and because it was not a protected cross they note the hybrid
possibility in the name ;;i.e., hybri-ciliatum

Ray & others ~
I have ordered the seeds from T & M and grew them to flowering stage - i=t
appears to be Arisaema ciliatum. The Inflorescence looks just like the o=ne
pictured in Gusman's The Genus Arisaema Volume I on page 305. They have=stolons
that is indicative of A. ciliatum.

I see that Thompson & Morgan and several other seed suppliers and nurser=ies
are advertising Arisaema hybriciliatum. I don't find this species in the
Gusman's book and I suspect it's just an advertising gimmick to unload
seeds/plants of various species.

Anyone know more about this?

Ray
