It is not rust, no signs of the typical rust-symptoms... 
Some of them are mottled (yellow-green) and one of them has a =discoloration like Giorgio's plant.

Could it be that they have a shortage in nutrients?

Yes they may show virus discoloration. 


I have some Candidissimum  in a flowerbed near home, two years ago one =plant 
was showing a leaflet of different colour: pale green, the shape of that =area
made me think it was a virus, it was the first time after two years  =from planting I saw
the large spots, the plant was healthy  ;  the same plants didn't show =any virus attack on 2007 and this year ,
I hope that tuber didn't die.
