its wetness. Invariably there is that 1 week in the middle of summer wher=e it rains every day. When i've planted these species in the soil outside=, I kept a rain cover over them all fall and winter. Too wet a spring or =the killer week in summer will then do them in, or else they won't reappe=ar the next spring, as there are always too damp conditions in the winter=, and indoor refridgeration always damages these particular bulbs for me.
Perhaps pot culture in my permanent cool greenhouse will do the trick.
