Thanks, Leo and Tony A. I don't have any conifers in the yard that are
suitable,the only one I have is dying, but I have a couple of corkscrew
willows that suck water fairly well and the area is fairly dry now, even =in
winter where water used to stand. But the drainage pattern of the yard =has
changed and my concern for that area now, is that they might get too dry.
The clay soil gets hard as a rock and cracks a foot deep develop in the
summer. Maybe with lots of soil amendments, things can be worked out. Ad=am
