Donna,

You either have to plant some of your seed to keep a fresh supply of male=s,
or whip the females until they revert back to male.  One year in my
yard will do the latter.

On the other hand, since you cut the seed heads off anyway, why
do you care if the plants make seeds as long as they're healthy and
have pretty flowers. After a while those poor mothers deserve a rest.
