Hello Bonaventure,

I just received your email.  I have not been receiving mails from anyone
who has responded from any of my 'sent' email.  I finally discovered
why, and have corrected the problem, but I'm afraid that I've lost out
on any responses to the note that I sent to the IAS (if it even got to
the list) about how A. candidissimum's inflorescence has not twisted no
matter what direction I turn it in the window.  If you have noticed a
response and still have it, would you mind sending any to me?  I would
really appreciate it.  There may be no responses, but I would sure like
to know if anyone else has methodically checked this out.  This makes me
curious about how the bloom develops in it's tuber from year to year and
if the direction it faces remains constant.  It's a trivial thing, but
one that would be fun to know, especially if it was possible to mark the
bulbs, insuring their direction for their next appearance.  I'm pretty
confident that they don't change the way they face once they emerge.

It sure would be, and I would love some if they turn out.  I will have
to try to keep in contact with you since I will be moving to TX in a
couple of months or so.  The date isn't known at this point.

See?  It would be nice to know if they can determine which way to
develop before they come up wouldn't it?  Do they come up according to
the way they were planted, or did it decide how it wanted to come up
according to the last time they were up, or does it know this 'before'
it has ever come up in that particular spot?

I have had the pollen in the refrigerator in a plastic bag.  There isn't
a lot.  I shook it from the bloom within the last couple of days it was
in bloom.  The bloom lasted about 4 or 5 days (not too observant).  Not
long.  I'll get it boxed and send it to you, but I'll need your
address.  It is folded in blue paper and is easy to see.   If you open
it up completely, it will be easier to get to.  There are two of these
folders with a bit in them.  I hope it works for you.
