Holly,
OK on the order assuming they haven't run out yet. I'll try to get them
to the meeting. If not, the ol' snail mail will have to do.
Harvest the seed now. They'll always be green, it's their normal color.
Squeeze the seeds out of each berry, usually 2 to 3, soak them in a
detergent
like Dawn for an hour or so. Rinse thoroughly - I use a Tea Caddy (??) to
hold the
seeds securely while rinsing them under running water. Then lay them out
on
paper towels to dry completely.
Zantedeschia with markings on the leaves are usually Z. albomaculata.
Actually, the
markings are translucent although they appear to be white from a
distance.
It is normal for Z. albomaculata seed heads to droop to the ground. Z.
aethiopica holds
its seed head erect.
We'd all love it if you send seeds to Craig for the Seedex. I just sent a
big batch from
one of my Z. albomaculata last week.
