Osmocote

Have been told that I waste it, but when I am potting I put in some mix and
then mix the osmocote with this layer. A little more mix goes in, then the
plant or tuber, or whatever. The idea being that the roots have to go
hunting for the fertilizer since initially there is no direct contact and
any fast initial release does no harm since it gets washed out. Better to
waste the excess than hurt the plant.... . Nancy
