[Ipe-discuss] Select all objects which are "within" a selected rectangle?

There is one more (hopefully last) question which would make things much
easier for me:

I have a graphic in a "matrix" layout, so m rows and n columns with squares,
an each ones contains a graph (example code with a 2 x 3 matrix  below).

I want to select some of those graphs and select all objects in the square
to modify them with an ipelet or "by hand".
(Clicking on each single object is slow and prone to errors, as I'm having
hundreds of such graphs to modify).
It would be great if I could just select the squares I want to change and
IPE could add all objects to the selection which are "within" those squares.
(I'm not sure if this is easily possible and it gets interesting, if objects
intersect... )

Is there a way to select those inscribed objects automatically?
