I did not apply the stylesheet colour changes to Debian because having
it different from upstream is a disaster waiting to happen: it would
be easy to create an ipe file that doesn't render the same on another
system (without the patch).
I did forward the request to Ipe and it was rejected by Otfried so it
will not appear in Debian; c.f. Bug 267 [1].
As for a workaround, maybe you can simply create a stylesheet that has
these colour names in it. I don't know for sure.
