Indeed, the bounding box is computed based only on the vertices of
path elements.  It would be quite tricky to do this exactly, as the
shape of a line join depends on the Postscript join style and can be
complex. I'll look into improving this, but in the mean time you have
to work around the problem by adding something invisible outside your
real drawing (such as a white marker or line).
