Dear Eric,
Many thanks indeed for your response and for accepting me into AEG. Please do confirm that I have become a member as I have not received any messages thus far.
I have also done some work on the Impatiens of the Nilgiris and published three new taxa in the Nordic Journal of Botany in December 2016, and gave them all Toda-related nomenclature, viz.: Impatiens taihmushkulni; I. kawttyana; I. nilgirica var nawttyana. Do let me know if you visit this part of the world sometime!
Warmly,
Tarun

· Has set seed: None
· Immature: A. jacquemontii (four plants all from the Nilgiris, south India); A. translucens (two)
2. Zone: Upper Nilgiri Hills, South Western Ghats; c.2000m above MSL
3. E-mail: kwattein at bsnl.in<mailto:kwattein at bsnl.in>
4. Post: Dr Tarun Chhabra, Dental Clinic, Hospital Road, Ooty-643001, Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India.
The rediscovery of A.translucens and A. tuberculatum was published by us in Phytotaxa in 2017. The photos of these along with the ethnobotanic links with the indigenous Toda people appear in my book The Toda Landscape: Explorations in Cultural Ecology (Harvard University Press; Harvard Oriental Series vol. 79). In addition to the above-mentioned four species, am familiar with A. tortuosum and A.barnesii as found here in the Nilgiris.
I am a full time practising dentist based in Ooty. Greatly looking forward to your response.
With warm wishes,
Tarun Chhabra
