Kathy--my experience is that it would have to be heavily mulched, i.e., =a garbage can's worth upended on the area over the tuber, with the =garbage can in place. I haven't done this but it works for "hardy" =bananas in your area. Either that or plant it within 20 inches of =the foundation of your house and keep it dry until spring. (just inside =the drip line of the eaves) (Chicago area,)when it dropped to -15=B0F =here away from the house. God luck.

I have a question -
I bought 2 blooming a. nepenthoides at Chelsea Flower Show in May. =Obviously they had been forced. I cut them back to the tuber and =repotted but they did not resprout this year, although the tubers are =firm. How shall I overwinter in the Buffalo, NY area?
