I agree. Most fresh seed I've encountered germinates without pretreatment=o=
f any

sort in about 10 to 20 days and produces an eophyll starting roughly 30 -=45

days after planting with stragglers coming up around 60 days.  

 

The plants in my fridge have germinated and gone dormant once already.

I germianted them this spring=2C they went dormant & I placed the corms=in =
the refrigerator

in October. The question is whether I wake them up in January or wait til=l =
April when the

ones outside emerge.   

 

I hope that clarifies things.

I saw that most seeds don't need any period into the fridge=2C


the seeds may start germination
after harvesting=2C cleaning from the pulp
and soaking them some hours ( Jim Mc Clements has written about it ) 


my Griffithii seeds usually root in that way=2C I haven't had any growt=h
( three attempts in three years )
