This is an interesting topic, and I hope that Erick, Bo, and all will
continue working on hybrids. I just want to remind everyone that a few
years ago, there was in discussion in this list of storing pollen of
Arisaema for use when plants do not bloom together.
What is the longest time period that Arisaema pollen has been stored and
has retained viability?
I myself am not any good at growing Arisaema from seed. The batch of
flavum I managed to grow disappeared once they were planted outdoors in a
bed in the ground. Only with tortuosum do I have seed-grown plants that
come up and bloom regularly. This is also the only Arisaema I have manag=ed
to keep alive in pots.
So I'm not even dreaming of hybridizing Arisaema, but I hope others will
keep working on this.
I wish everyone in the U.S. a very happy Thanksgiving Day.
