I think snow cover is more important than minimum temperature.
Odessey Bulbs uses these climate zones as well as USDA Zone numbers: mont=ane, maritime, modified continental, continental, steppe, Mediterranean, =subtropical, tropical. He defines these terms at

Click on Arisaema to see they are all over the range of climates.
If I stick to what he says are "continental" and Zone 4 they tend to work=for me.
The Japanese Arisaema heterophyllum has done well here, setting seed for =the first time last year. The A. sikokianum has survived in some gardens =and gone away in others.
