Hi David & Tony;
I am new to this list and relatively new to Arisaemas.=A0 I am having g=reat=
fun potting up my seeds from the Seed Exchange this year.
I used the paper towel method to germinate most of my seeds.=A0 A. flav=um g=
erminate quickly (8 days for radicle to appear), then another 3 days befo=re=
the 1st leaf appeared.=A0 Germination rate was 87%.
A. flamum subsp. tibeticum is also quick ( 7 days for radicle to appear),=t=
hen another 4 days before the 1st leaf appeared.=A0 100% germination ra=te.
I have potted these up in turface.=A0 My question for you both is:=A0=Appro=
ximately how long do these 1st leaves stay before they start to yellow an=d =
go dormant?
Thanks for your help.

US Zone 8, Vancouver, Canada (the wet coast) - yes we get lots & lots of =ra=
in. Very similar to Seattle.
P.S.=A0 I had 5 Arisaemas last year, only 1 survived our winter last ye=ar a=
nd that was A. sikokianum which bloomed again this year.=A0 All my othe=rs t=
urned to mush.=A0 However they were all in pots in the rain & snow.=A=0 Migh=
t have faired better in the ground.
