I cannot completely agree with former e_mails about the bad behaviour
of this plant.
Yes every spike is going to produce a lawn of seedlings but it is
very easy to clean
the flowerbed and discard the excess; more, if the soil is very
light, it is easy to dig the tubers
in the fall and replant in lower quantity in Spring .
Very easy to control them by cultivation in pots.
The clump in my flowerbed is near coloured Zantedeschias and I dig
all these
tubers in late October, if some seedlings appear in late Spring,
it's easy to pull them.
I planted most of them free in the wood and they now compete with other
invasive wild grasses not so pleasant and fine .
The same for P. Tripartita.
P. Ternata is much easier to be controlled in my garden.
I could give many plants as gift to my friends, used on border
flowerbeds,
they thrive and grow and do not need a lot of work.
Last I could sell on Ebay ( Europe ) many tubers ( young as mature
ones ),
getting some money for other purchases.
I see a seller from UK who is always offering them on auction.
