George.  I certainly don't know, and I wonder if anyone else does either.
I've not seen results posted or written up anywhere.  I suspect it's the
individual variation  that is coded into each species which sometimes  co=me
from very different climates or conditions.
Personally-- I'd like to see more of these observations written up here.
hey may be anecdotal, but should not be disregarded   because if one thin=ks
about it,  many anecdotes begin to constitute something like a random
sample, at least hypothetically, without mathematical nit-picking  over
procedure.

Could you order your observations by species, by time in the fridge?
Temperature at 45=B0 F?   I'd like to see something like that.  There has=n't
been much cultural data of any sort shared here.     Then it could be
archived and used at a later date.  In this way, we build up a body of
knowledge.  Adam in Glenview, IL USDA 5a where its been more like Z6
