Aaron:

I've never been able to useful distinctions between the Arisaema
triphyllum subspecies, such as pusillum that would hold up across large
populations.  Since you've spent a tremendous amount of time in the
wild, I'd love to hear your take on the valid subspecies and their
characteristics.  What part of the country have you seen the black leaf
flecks?  Thanks.
