Hi Everyone.

I hope you all had a successful summer of Arisaema growing. Mine was =only fair, and I have given up trying to grow Arisaemas in pots. No =matter what kind of soil I used, I still ended up with lots of rotten =tubers. Granted, most of these were plants I shouldn't have attempted =this far south, but still discouraging none-the-less. Many of the =tubers that survived were noticeably smaller that what I had originally =planted.

I remember the threads from the spring where members wrote of planting =tubers at the base of trees and large shrubs. I think it was that the =root competition and shelter helped keep the tubers on the dry side =during the winter months and helped prevent rot. This sounds good to me =so I'll plant everything in the ground this next go around. Come to =think of it, that's exactly how my ringens are planted, under the canopy =of an old sago palm "tree", and they've thrived there for years.

I'll be ordering soon, and was wondering about Catchflower. It seems =like I recall members (USA) stating that their orders from Catch had =been confiscated. This will be my third year ordering from Chen Yi, but =I'm worried about Catch. Can anyone address this?

Thanks,

Russell Coker
