Then it appears that expanding the gene pool would be likely to give the
most interesting results - by getting the inherited patterning enhanced o=r
altered by artificial selection of the most interesting/different pattern=s.
I wonder if anybody has explored the nature of the genetics of that
patterning, and how much "natural" variation there is to this patterning?=We
could do the equivalent of eHarmony and post our silver centers for matin=g.

We haven't got any variegated arisaema yet...just hoping to do so from th=e
tc process. If the variegation is a stable chimera, then tc usually has =no
problems producing true to type offspring. If the variegation is sectore=d,
then reproduction through tissue culture is difficult. The silver patter=ns
are not really a true variegation and therefore reproduce fine via tc.
