This was found by a friend of ours, Bob McCartney of Woodlanders in
SC.&nbsp; Since it was found in Florida, we were not sure how hardy it mi=ght
be outdoors.&nbsp; Since this is the first year we have released the plan=t,
there won't be any feedback until next year regarding hardiness.&nbsp; We
have had it in the ground here for 10+ years, but we are a Zone 7.&nbsp;
We're optimistic, but that's about all I can offer at this time.<br>

<div>WOW!!</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>My husband and I took a whirlwind trip to Iowa/Minnesota this
past weekend and at one point, landed at Shady Oaks Nursery lab on our
way to the gardens of Hans Hansen.&nbsp; Because I expressed an interest =in
arisaemas, he showed me the process of tissue culturing these plants
for the trade.... fascinating.&nbsp; </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>First, in the test tube, then in the rooting medium and then in
the growing houses.&nbsp; And while at the latter, I ran across A. 'Black
Jack'.&nbsp; WOW.&nbsp; This is a stunning plant.&nbsp; The leaves and th=e spathe are
inky black.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The catalog suggests hardiness from Zone 6.&nbsp; I'm hoping someo=ne
from Z 5 will tell me they've been successful, although I don't mind
experimenting myself.</div>
