WOW!!
My husband and I took a whirlwind trip to Iowa/Minnesota this past weeken=d and at one point, landed at Shady Oaks Nursery lab on our way to the ga=rdens of Hans Hansen. Because I expressed an interest in arisaemas, he s=howed me the process of tissue culturing these plants for the trade.... f=ascinating.
First, in the test tube, then in the rooting medium and then in the growi=ng houses. And while at the latter, I ran across A. 'Black Jack'. WOW. =This is a stunning plant. The leaves and the spathe are inky black.
The catalog suggests hardiness from Zone 6. I'm hoping someone from Z 5 =will tell me they've been successful, although I don't mind experimenting=myself.
