Having always wanted an A.candidissimum I picked one up at a plant =
sale about seven years ago and put it in a fairly dry area under a large ==
hawthorn where it has thrived and divided so now I have several.

Two years ago it was joined by one from Chen yi and this is also doing =
well.

They come up and flower about mid June by which time I am poking around =
to see if they are alive.

I chose my driest spot because we have pretty wet summers and a friend =
in the Midlands has been growing it for thirty years in the same spot =
under a pine where it is now a large clump. He has very sandy soil and =
very low rainfall all year.

Last year I stuck a spade through the middle of one from Chen yi right =
through the growing point. I thought nothing lost and cut the two pieces ==
into twelve, each with a dormant bud.I soaked them in fungicide for an =
hour and then dried them off for a week or so.I put them back in the =
ground and several have grown and I am hopeful for the rest this summer.

Now I have two clones I am also hoping I might get seed. This spring the ==
rest of my arisaemas are going in the garden to see how they do.
