Let me, as a response to that, put a question or two to all to think abou=t.

#1: I have several times experienced that I receive a tuber in the fall a=nd
plant it out. It dies the second winter not the first.
Can it be that my short growing period and relatively cool summers do not
ripen the tuber enough??

#2: Some arisaemas are VERY late to emerge. Candidissimum to mention one.
Why? Do they need higher soil temperatures?
Do they need longer period of reasonable soil tempereture?
Could I start them early by laying down soil warming cable?
Would they survive better if started earlier?

little
less difference between hot and cold.
