Don't forget they need a cold period [<50F] for a couple of months if
you're trying to force them.

I just use a windowsill and back them with a tall cardboard covered with
foil as a reflector so they will grow straight up and not reach for the
window. The exact size and shape of the reflector is determined by your
latitude.
