Ellen,
I can only speak of pot cultivation and I treat it the same as
I treat the other forms of flavum I grow. It seems to flower before the
leaves if kept on the dry side early in the season and when kept more
moist flowers with the leaves. Not all habitats in Tibet where it grows
are dry and exposed, it also grows in more moist situations so the
cultivation probably depends on the clone. One of the clones I grow was
a collection by Anne Chambers which is supposed to come from rather dry
conditions (right Anne?) but seems very easy in cultivation when kept
as moist as the other forms. How many clones are in cultivation I don't
know, it is not really widespread in cultivation but I also know that
some clones with a dark throat from Tibet are in cultivation, not all
clones are yellow throughout.
