Interesting to note that A triphyllum emerges at about the same time
in Alaska as it is doing here on the wet eastern end (almost) of the
continent!

Several seedlings in a clump are up, and a pair which had been potted
and forgotten for a few years until they flowered in the pot and
reminded me to locate them into the garden. Of this pair, the smaller
sent out its flower and the leaf has not yet deployed, the larger
(significantly) is still just showing a rolled nose.

Arisaema sikokianum has just started to emerge today, seedlings in
their third year in a raised Rhododendron bed (roughly equal parts of
sandy loam, compost and coarse bark, with a bark mulch). I don't
expect flowers yet, last year they were only about 3 inches tall.

It has been ages since I have written to the AEG. I did want to let
you all
know that last fall I took a chance and planted all my Arisaema
triphyllum
outside in my garden beds. It looks like they have all survived, and
several are going to bloom, including one monster that is sending up a
nose
that is one inch in diameter. ... Now , if I could only get A.
sikkokianum to winter over without rotting or dessicating! LOL :)
