Hi all,
I have a few species (including sikokianum) planted under a huge cedar.
They love it.  Water only gets in during the most wet season, which
consequently is their growing period.  Ringens and triphyllum multiply li=ke
weeds under there!

Agree that sikokianum need to be kept dry in winter.Plant it in dirty san=d.
have them alive since i did this.Even a rised peatbed will do.
