Jaime,
/Arisaema triphyllum/ does quite well in Zones 3 and 4
here in Minnesota. Even growing in the Zone 2 parts of
our state. Our winters are deep and long.
Usually we have good snow cover throughout the winter.
But this year the ground was bare. We had 54" of frost
in the ground here in the Twin Cities this year (32"
is average) and my Jacks are all up and blooming right
on schedule.
The Green Dragon hasn't yet shown it's head.
And only the Chinese roots that wintered in the root
cellar are up. Sadly, I know that I lost a lot of the
roots from Chen Yi.
While I haven't yet wintered /A. sikokianum/, it is
reputed to hardy in Minnesota. I have you tried it
outside? I got a dozen tiny /A. s./ bulbs last fall
which spent the winter in my root cellar; now I have
nine little plants in the back. Does anyone know how
soon they can be planted out?
