Jim,

I think that most of those are late growers from memory.  I know that
candidissimum is definitely one of the later ones, and I think I remember
reading that fargesii is similar.  Thunbergii and urashima are related
(urashima is thunbergii var urashima isn't it?) and I have been told by o=ne
person I know that their thunbergii urashima starts growing in autumn
rather than spring..... so I don't know where that leaves it for you.  I
was surprised when they told me this but they said that theirs shoots in
May every year (southern hemisphere) whereas most of the others here shoo=t
in August to October.

Not sure if that is all really any help to you but thought I'd try anyway.
