Bonaventure,
We have had heave rains almost every night since I returned from the trip
to Arizona. We've had 2.5 inches of rain in the past 4 days alone. Do y=ou
thing there is any point to trying even after the rains? I'll bring in t=he
sazensoo inflorescence anyway, right now!
The sazensoo is male; the sikokianum and the ringens are female. I can't
tell just yet whether there is any pollen left in the sazensoo or not --
just now cut it and brought it into the house.
Bonaventure, do you have any stored pollen that might work on either
sikokianum or ringens? Can you ship your pollen preps?
The inflorescences of serratum were all male, but they are all done for n=ow.
So far no signs of any plants coming up where last summer I planted
candidissimum, consanguineum, fargesii, nor of the older plants of
thunbergii, or urashima. Should I start to worry yet?
My seeds of triphyllum have not germinated yet either. They were planted
during the winter, and one pot was left outdoors while the other sat
indoors or in the greenhouse until a month or so ago.
