Three of my A. fargesii in one group are up and one is blooming. The other
clump of three tubers planted last year have shown no signs of growth so
far. I'm relieved, sort of, to hear that several other gardens have not
seen their AA. consanguineum or candidissimum yet. I've not seen mine, either.

I would like to remind you that Clivia too are shade plants! I have more
of them than I do of Arisaema. (Of course, I'm not sure yet how many
Arisaema I still have.) The North American Clivia Society is being formed
as we speak, and you can be one of the early members by joining now. See
our temporary web site at http://www.shieldsgardens.com/NAClivia/index.html

Dues are $20 for the first full year; they can be sent to Mike Morri,
Treasurer at PO Box 192, Union City, MI 49094. We will begin publishing a
newsletter as soon as possible.

Best regards,
Jim Shields
