Hello Nina,
All kinds of strange things going on with arisaema. My 3 A. hetrophyllum
near the garden gate reached their ultimate height this spring. One is just
over 5 feet, the other two well over four feet. All went almost instantly
into seed... but looks as though all three are going to abort and not a
single seed will be produced on them this year. Normally they are heavy seed
producers. My A. dracontium that I have seen reach 6 1/2 feet only reached a
bit over 4 feet this year, but looks as though they will have seed. You
would think it would be the one to respond to all the moisture.
A. thumbergii v urashima is a late riser for me here. Have never been
concerned about it coming up too early and getting nipped.
