I had plants of serratum and pangii, having bloomed outdoors in our easte=rn
seaboard Mid-Atlantic states weather (wet spring) in a raised bed and
formed robust plants, suddenly fall over in August. The cause- rot at the
stem base which proceeded to the tuber, even though they were shallowly
planted and allowed to dry out.
