Paige,

Indeed you are correct. I picked up your URL instead of Jim's. I'll take =a
look at
his reference now. Anyway, who could resist Paiges page?

They're "giant" alright. At 41" tall that's a big-a-flavum. It also looks=like
a deviation of some sort and I wonder if it will continue to grow this wa=y.
Many of
us have reported "giant" A. triphyllum only to have them revert to normal
size in subsequent years. I've also had multiple inflorescences from one
tuber, Again it
didn't continue to do this in subsequent years.

There's no mention on the page of A. flavum ssp. tibeticum and I see no r=eason
from the pictures to think it is of this ssp. The inflorescence is not at
all the
beautiful and graceful form that formed on my 24" tall tibeticums.

However, neither was the one on Anne's plant. I believe there is now some
confusion on just what differentiates A. flavum ssp. tibeticum other than
the obvious geographic distribution.

I'm not sure why Jim referred to it as A. flavum ssp. tibeticum. It
certainly doesn't
look like the ones I've seen.

Ray
