I had even some strong growing and flowering Chen Yi Arisaemas ( I recall a
pangii and an engleri type) make it hale and heartily in raised beds last
year thru spring and summer until a week of rain, then cloudy weather, then
rain, then more overcast days, brought stem rot at the base where it joins
the tuber, finally killing the whole tuber.
