I have to agree with Ray as far as flavum is concerned - only A. flavum
ssp. tibeticum is worth growing, a wonderful sight in the wild. I have
it from Tibet and long to send seed to the exchange so that everyone can
enjoy it, but it will just NOT oblige. This year again it has not set
seed, so I guess the message is that my particular collection won't.
Most of the other ssp I've seen seem fit for the compost heap - I grow
them only for sentimental reasons.
