Arnhild,
Cut the bottom off of the pots and then plant them pot and all in a
bigger pot. That way the roots will grow into the bigger pot
undisturbed. If the original pot has a big drain hole, you don't even hav=e
to cut the pot. The roots will grow through the hole.
All this works best if the pots are bottom watered as with a wicking
pad. But it should work anyway.
When they go dormant, all these roots die away, so there's no problem
extracting the tuberlets.
