Variegated leaf on Arisaema triphyllum

Paul,

There is a strain of A. triphyllum generally known as 'Mrs. French' after
the owner of the garden where it was discovered. But, it has white (more
often off-white) veins rather than splotches. Not at
all like what you describe,

Roy Herold is the expert on A. triphyllum forms and grows many of them.
You might
want to see what he has to say.

Another question is whether it's a virus rather than genetic. Does it
reproduce true?
