A.sikokianum seedlings

A question -

One of my A.sikokianums set seed this year, first time ever. The fruits were
very slow to mature so in October I cut off the seed head and stored it in
the garage. By the end of December the fruits were red.

To my surprise the seeds are now growing, but some of the seedlings have
very serrated edges and some have completely smooth edges.

What can you tell me about that, natural variation?

Thank you.
