A. wilsonii germination

Here's one that seems to take a cold period to germinate, at least this one
time:

7-4-00 Seeds soaked in detergent 2hrs, put in damp towel at room temperature.

10-28-00 No germination, refrigerated,

1-17-01 Out of refrigerator

1-31-01 All seeds that were not soft sprouted, planted in wet turface.

It's interesting that this behavior isn't similar to that of A. thunbergii
and a few other Japanese species where the seeds germinate without cold, but
don't send up a leaf until after a cold period.

Has anyone else seen this in A. wilsonii, or any other species?
