Last year I experienced for the first time the same extremely painful
reaction after cleaning seed as has been described by others and lost
several layers of skin subsequently.
What interested me was - I had cleaned arisaema seeds several times in
previous years both in the wild and in cultivation without any problems
at all. So was the bad reaction as a result of an accumulated
sensitivity over the years, or was it a particular species perhaps, I
still haven't figured it out. But I now always wear gloves!
