Arisaema flavum - certainly it's a very variable species in the wild. I
grow two forms, one is from seed I collected in Bhutan obviously without
seeing the plants in flower - I should dig it up and make compost of it,
the flowers are very small and a dingy mustard brown colour! On the
other hand, the second form from south east Tibet is choice, the
horizontal 'flag' of the spathe is at least 2 inches/ 5 cm long and
clear, bright yellow. This form grows in sunny, very dry spots - a clump
of them on top of a rock against a blue Tibetan sky is a sight to
behold.
Sorry they haven't set seed and I don't have any spare. Worth looking
out for.
