Subject: How long do seedligns grow for?

Howdy All,
How long do Arisaema seedlings grow for before their first dormancy? Wha=t
is the longest people have found?
I've been told by a couple of people that 3 1/2 months is the absolute
tops! However I have seedlings of A. speciosum from the AEG Seedex this
year that were germinating when they arrived, surfaced within 4 days
(22-4-01) and are still going strong. One of the bulbs is actually sitti=ng
at the surface. At an angle of about 45' from the original leaf there
appears to be a second leaf starting to emerge from the bulb now. It doe=s
not seem to be from the same growth point, but rather a second point. Is
this normal?
All the other species germinated a few weeks later, so they aren't anywhe=re
near as long-lived at this stage. Only one of them seems to be showing a=ny
signs of yellowing as yet.
I just want to ask as from what people have said they should be dying off
by now but are showing no signs. Have I just managed to give optimal
growing conditions so it is keeping on growing? This is the first time I
have grown Arisaemas from seed so I'm hoping I can get some advice from
people with more experience.
Thanks in anticipation.
Cheers.
